- rehabilitating the municipality residence and furnishing it, digging an artesian well and equipping it with a pump, with the assistance of the papal delegation in Lebanon
- expanding the town squares, establishing parking lots and transporting the power plant from public square
- donating compensations to the families whose houses were damaged by the proceedings
- preparing an architectural study with the collaboration of USEK in order to rebuild the town houses
- constructing a stadium and an equipped center on the land that the committee of Hadsheet endowments has donated with the assistance of Saint Romanos Association-Sydney and some other charities
- study of a water treatment plant to filter drinkable water in town.
- transforming the barren public properties into green lands by planting 2500 trees also on the town passage
- constructing a reinforcement wall and laying protection grid and canals to protect drinkable water source from pollution (Haddad stream)
- constructing a protection wall in Daher el Chir district, laying protection grid and lighting the valley
- the study of constructing and executing Ain Ayoub project and connecting it to the main road and the Elbarid Elkroum road
- rehabilitating roads and irrigation canals (Herzmana road- Hakla el Chediac- el Malaab- el Nabea)
- equipping a public school with computers
- rehabilitating street lighting by installing 200 lamp posts and setting up road signs
- rehabilitating sewage network in Saydeh church neighborhood and the terminal point for discharge (Saybieh)
- agreeing with municipalities to use their waste dumps especially the Hamat municipality to where the garbage has been recently removed
- rehabilitating canals inside the town by laying cement pipes to preserve public hygiene and to expand the town's roads
- ornamenting the town with Christmas decoration prepared by the municipality
- promoting sports, social, health and cultural activities and helping the needy

On the 20th of April 2003, municipality mayor, Mr George Jamil Wardan, passed away after a long struggle with disease and on the 15th of May 2003, engineer Rami Youssef was elected mayor for this municipality while Mr Robert Hadchiti was elected deputy.
